Our story

Not so long ago, there was a carpenter named Jacob who truly loved what he did. His “superpower” was combining smart functionality with great design. One evening, while spending time with his family (who also happened to be passionate board gamers), an idea came up: to combine his love for woodworking with their love of games.

And that’s how the concept of a board game table was born.

There was a gleam in Jacob’s eye, the decision was made, challenge accepted! 
The first table (and a few more that followed) was built in the garage, after hours, often late into the night. But as the idea took shape, it became clear that this was something special. The final result impressed not only his family but also the very first players. They felt the game experience had just leveled up. And that’s exactly what it was all about.

Jacob realized this was something he wanted to do. He started talking to gamers, listening to their needs, and used this feedback to design new features, accessories, and enhancements. Solutions that made playing even more enjoyable.

As the company grew, production moved from the garage to a fully equipped workshop with nearly 1,000 m² of space. New machines were brought in, the team grew; but the philosophy remained the same: quality, honesty, and continuous improvement.

Every table we produce is made right here. We don’t use subcontractors or outsource production.

At Wooden Castle, we create both standard tables and fully customized projects. We always include detailed drawings and summaries for custom orders so every customer knows exactly what to expect.
